  1. John Gillespie :

I’ve been honored to have known Mike, for nearly three decades. He was a great athlete, distance runner and good friend. We ran countless miles and races over the years, and he was always a great competitor. He remained positive and ever-so grateful of others, especially over the past 10 years, as his once very fit body and active lifestyle, became decreasingly challenged. Over the past decade, it had been a privilege to take Mike out for lunches, every month or two, and to watch sporting events at some local Denver restaurants. He looked so forward to these outings, and I feel blessed to have shared one last experience with Mike and two other close friends, on December 23rd, just the day before he went to St Joe’s Hospital. He was so very appreciative of that outing, and, looking back, we were fortunate to share this special memory with him. Rest in peace, Mikey, and embrace the gift of eternal youth, health and joy.
