Born on October 14th, 1966

Departed on April 22nd, 2020 and resided in Aurora, Colorado

Lara Ann LaNasa died unexpectedly on April 22, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado, at the age of 53. Our time with Lara was too short and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lara is survived by her husband, Howard Richardson III. Lara never had any children of her own, but she is survived, and sorely missed, by her fury babies: Celo, Dolly, Leelo, Kelly and Gidget, and Gizmo. She was preceded in death by her parents William John and Doreen Violet Malone. Lara was an only child.

Lara was born in Germany, October, 14, 1966, but she grew up in the Longmont, Colorado area. In addition to her love of Persian cats, she was an accomplished equestrian on her beloved horse Beauty. Lara had worked several positions in the larger Denver area in real estate and legal offices.

No services are planned at this time, but a celebration of life will be held at a future date. Memorials in memory of Lara can be sent to the Dumb Friends League via their online Memorial link (https://www.ddfl.org/memorial-honor-giving/) or call them at (303) 751-5772.

Lara and her parents moved in next door to my family when we were in Jr. High. She was a good friend for many years and we shared many growing up and neighbor memories. My heart goes out to Howard and her beloved cats.

Such vivid memories of Lara who grew up “next door”…..fun, games, good food, cars
    and memorable neighbors.
Gone from our sight, but not our memories….gone from our touch,
    but never our hearts.

A stretch of driveway next door with a
    plaque that reads “Firebirds Only”.

Blessings to Howard .. As the sun rises each day, may your heart be restored
    with peace and comfort.

    Rest in peace, Lara.

So many memories of growing up with Lara in our neighborhood. Beauty, the backyard pool, Lara babysitting us and choreographing dances with me to Def Leppard songs. Her modeling pictures in our yard, her blue car. Doreen was so proud of Lara, always!
Peace be with her.  Sending my condolences to her husband and sweet kitties.

Lara was a very dear friend in school. I have many fond memories of cruising Main Street with her in her Firebird and having overnight pizza parties at her house while wearing Noxema face masks. She was always a very kind person and always so fun to be with. She will be missed.
