Christopher James Dobson, 31, formerly of Pueblo, CO, passed away on Sept. 10, 2018.

Christopher was born May 21, 1987 in Pueblo, CO to John and Susannah Dobson. He graduated from South High School, Pueblo CO in 2004.  Christopher loved music and was part of many musical performances during his time in high school.

More than anything, Christopher loved spending time with his son, Xavier, and watching him grow. He had recently become engaged to his long-time friend Carrie and they were looking forward to becoming a family. They enjoyed reminiscing about Camp Hope days and attending Special Olympic Basketball games for Carrie’s students.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, David Dobson, Victor Gorshe, Jim Boham, and great grandparents Gene and Bea Smith.

Christopher is survived and will be missed deeply by his son, Xavier, whom he loved to the moon and back, his fiancée Carrie Gorman; parents, John and Susannah Dobson; brother, David (Brittney), nephews, Tyler and Joshua; grandparents Dorothy Boham, Margaret Gorshe (Roger Peirce); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private memorial service to be held for Christopher at a later date. Donations can be made in Christopher’s name to Colorado Special Olympics.

  40. Chris was my very best friend in high school, he helped me through them times more than he knew… We did everything together, from jamming in the car, to karoke at the bar, and everything in between.. He will always be a part of my life and has given me some of the best memories a friend could ask for. He was one of the smartest, charmingest, funniest, lovingest dudes anyone could ever have the pleasure of knowing! I love you Chris, this life is short and fragile and flimsy, so Rest in Peace My Friend!!! I’ll see you soon!

  41. Rose and Sam Quintana :

We are so sorry for your loss, our condolences. Chris was a very good friend to our son Mario Quintana. They hung out a lot in their early years of high school. They painted our house, and he also went with us to a family re-union in New Mexico. I also enjoyed the musicals and when they were in choir. I pray God will be with you all in your time of sorrow, and comforts all of you. Rest in peace Chris.

  42. I remember Chris running around St. Paul church with the Kershaw boys. John and Susan are the nicest, happiest people I remember from there. My prayers to all of you.

  44. Hey buddy,
I guess I wish I’d known when you called last month that that would be the last time we ever spoke. You told me you were worried and some things weren’t going well, I hope I helped a little, maybe not enough. All those things you mentioned, yeah, I remember them all. I never knew I was so important to you, or how sentimental you really were, until you called. Thank you for that. Thank you for always being so sweet, and silly, and for dancing with me at my graduation party. Thank you for Big Fish, and The Goonies after prom. You were and always will be my huckleberry. God speed old friend, and save me seat.
