Barbara Shirley Kruse, 84, of Lakewood, Colorado, died September 23, 2020.  She was born October 27, 1935 in Spencer, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Rose (Thompson) Moeller.  On September 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to James Kruse in Royal, Iowa.

Jim and Barb moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1958 and later moved to Littleton, CO.  Barbara earned her Bachelor of Arts from Metropolitan State College in Denver.  She worked as an elementary school teacher.

In 1975 they moved to Windsor, CO where they owned and operated Gambles Hardware and Appliances in Windsor and Footnote Books in Loveland.  In 2001 they returned to Greeley to enjoy their retirement.  In her pastime, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents and sisters, Joyce (Moeller) Johns, Jean (Moeller) Twetten, Mary Lou Moeller, and a brother Kenneth.

Barbara is survived by her son David Kruse and his wife Sandy of Lakewood, and two grandchildren, Molly (James) Depoy, and Kevin Kruse.
