Anita Marie Rideout of Denver, Colorado, passed away on March 6, 2018, from complications of diabetes.   Anita Marie Rideout, née Burnette, was born in Ogdensburg, New York, on June 21, 1947.   Her mother was Anna Elizabeth Burnette whose maiden name was Havens.

Anita’s first marriage was to Dalton Lawrence Perry, known as Larry Perry.   They had two children together, Jennifer Perry and Debra Perry.  Anita left Ogdensburg at a young age and moved to Tucson where she spent most of her life in warm weather.

Her second marriage was to John E. Rideout of Ottawa, Illinois.  They had a long and successful marriage.  Together they had a child, John W. Rideout.  Anita worked for Desert Diamond Casino for decades and was known for her kindness to all those around her.   She loved to play billiards and was a mean shot.   She liked to go to the movies and was also interested in the after-life.    For the last few years of her life, she resided in Denver, Colorado, near her daughter, Debra Perry and her husband, Jeff Baldwin, along with their children, Dalton Lawrence Baldwin and Colton Havens Baldwin.

Anita is survived by her siblings, Clifford (Ray) Burnette of Canandaigua, New York, and Donna Burnette-Brady of Tucson, Arizona; her children, Jennifer Perry of Lantana, Florida; Debra Perry and her children, Dalton Lawrence Baldwin and Colton Havens Baldwin of Denver, Colorado; and John W. Rideout of Mansfield, Ohio.    She is also survived by numerous half-siblings from her father’s second marriage.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Rideout, and  mother, Anna Elizabeth Havens.

Anita was an organ donor, and the family is pleased that people may be able to continue to benefit from her passing.  At her request, no funeral services will be held and her body will be cremated.

  1. I am truly sorry for your lost and want to extend my sincerest condolences. Psalms 36:9, refers to God as “the source of life”. May you find comfort in knowing that the one who gave life to all living creatures is capable of restoring life to your loved one who has passed. He hates death and yearns to bring back those who are in His memory and to see them live on earth again. 1 Corinthians 15:26
